Dear Reader,
After a brief foray into the world of the 1940’s (more on this later), I have returned to the present. Currently, I am working on a chic lit mystery, featuring a don’t-go-in-there character with plenty of ability, except when it comes to managing her own life.
I have always written my books based on what my characters tell me they want to do, and what they want to happen. If a character wants to investigate who killed another character, that book will likely be a mystery. One of my favorite characters is Wally Morris, the amateur sleuth of the Vengeance series. She had many adventures both in and out of her little New Jersey town. After Wally, who was a nursery school teacher, I have written about a professor, a social worker, an advertising agency professional, an underemployed recent college graduate, and an orthopedic nurse. Why these people keep stumbling across bodies and putting themselves in peril is another mystery in and of itself.
Unfortunately for me, my only books that are available for you to read at this time are the Wally Morris books. You can read a blurb about each one here. All are available on Amazon, in both paperback and Kindle formats. But very soon, the book set in the 40’s will be available with even wider distribution.
I am very proud of this new book. It is called HOPE’s DAUGHTER, and is historical fiction. I can’t wait for people to read it. It is a story full of heart, great joy, and deep sadness. It’s life, and we all go through it.
Among the things I do in the real world is raise SEEING EYE® puppies. My family has raised fifteen pups. It is one of the greatest pleasures of my life. Not only do I get a tiny puppy to take care of until maturity, the puppy will go on to help a visually impaired person in need. You can see photos of my puppies here.
When I am not writing, I work in the children’s room of a local library where I order and catalogue all the new books, giving me a real appreciation for juvenile literature.
